    tammy chang

Tammy is a Taiwanese American who came to Oakland, by way of growing up in Ohio. She comes to pilates with a wealth of other movement modalities, including running and teaching in a capoeira school, along with barre, strength training and foam rolling. A former elementary school teacher, Tammy first transitioned to her own private nutrition practice, The Nourished Belly, and authored a couple of nutrition books through Ulysses Press.

She then began to feel the impact of her capoeira training, and moved into other more holistic movement modalities and pilates has become a blessing to understand her own body more and to help others find alignment. She believes in a holistic, compassionate, inside and out approach to longevity.  Tammy is incredibly excited about learning with Chris at Deep Breath Pilates and diving deep into its community.
